Inscriptions are NFTs that live in the Bitcoin blockchain. An inscription is created when a file, such as an art image, is written into (inscribed into) units of Bitcoin, called satoshis. Satoshis are the smallest individually identifiable units of Bitcoin (one hundred million satoshis equals one Bitcoin). Inscriptions, also called digital artifacts, are native to the Bitcoin blockchain and are made possible through the Ordinal theory protocol.
Yes, the art is on-chain; forever immutable on the Bitcoin timechain.
"The ultimate vision for Battle Bones (BB) is to produce a creative and sustainable IP ecosystem for the community. All BB NFTs, or digital collectibles, will serve as the token that grants access to the BB ecosystem with varying degrees of utility. As such, we believe it's best that the atomic units of the BB universe exist on the most secure and censor-resistant blockchain on earth. The immutability of Bitcoin best ensures the longevity and value-accumulation for the BB community. With that said, additional blockchain functionality may be desired, or even needed, to successfully build out the BB universe. In such an event, we are open to what may be technically possible via Ethereum, Stacks, or any other blockchain. We're excited to see how the community and NFT landscape continues to develop."
It is recommended to use a Bitcoin wallet that is specifically tailored for Ordinal Inscriptions. We recommend using any of the following: Ordinals Wallet, Hiro Wallet, or the Xverse Wallet.
"@Guajirogunpla, or Javi Del Rio, has been creating art since he was in kindergarten, being largely self-taught throughout his life, but inspired by the world and works of others around him. During his years at an all-boys Catholic middle/high school, he developed a reputation for outlandish but finely-detailed art fueled by raging hormones and a sophomoric sense of humor. After high school, amidst college, he found himself thrown back into the violent whirlwind of testosterone and dark, juvenile humor in a nine-year military stint that spanned two branches and across two continents. During this time, he left his mark on their organizations in the form of permanent artwork created for his units amidst his regular duties. Even more importantly, he fostered a reputation amongst his peers for truly disturbing, yet warmly-received sketches of dicks in all manner of form and function. Seriously fucked up. Out of the military and in his thirties now, he still has a twisted imagination and a love for the outlandish, as well as a passion for miniature painting that has shaped his art. Taking all he loves about creating art, he has designed The Private Collection by Battle Bones. This unapologetically phallic collection consists of 21 identical units covered with references to various sub-10k Ordinal Inscriptions, Bitcoin memes, and the NFT landscape at large."
The Private Collection is comprised of 21 units total.
Three (3) units are withheld for the BB Reserve. An additional eight (8) units will be allocated to partners and influencers supporting BB. The remaining ten (10) units will be available to the public for purchase either via an auction or fixed price.
TBD
The entirety of The Private Collection is published via an inscription as a list of hashes. Refer to this inscribed list whenever necessary to validate the provenance of any Battle Bone Private.
Each inscription from the Private Collection comes with a personal use license. They cannot be used for commercial purposes. See the full license for all terms.
As a Private Collection holder, you will be granted full access to any and all types of utility that is ever realized by Battle Bones. The most immediate benefit is an airdrop (one airdrop per Private held) of another Battle Bone from the forthcoming Genesis Collection. The BB Genesis Collection will serve as the primary 10k collection from which the community can access all the utility from the BB ecosystem. Please see our litepaper for further details regarding all BB utility.
